Eric Hall

Coaching Staff / 2016-2017

Team: Boys Varsity Baseball
Position: Head Coach

Eric Hall has served as the head coach of Flatbush Baseball since its inception in 2009.  Flatbush also has the good fortune of having hands down the best assistant/athletic trainer in Brooklyn as baseball co-coach, Bret Beard.   Together, they have guided the Falcons to 3 league finals , winning the MYHSAL Championship twice (in 2011 and 2013).  More importantly, they have worked with over 80 young students and have had the pleasure of watching them grow not only as athletes but as men as well.  Many of them have moved on to successes beyong Flatbush.  Notably, Ralph Navarro (YoF Class of 2014) is presently playing baseball at Division III New York University.

A graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts, Hall has many years of coaching and playing experience.  After getting injured playing ball while attending Brooklyn College, Hall briefly played rookie league baseball, then went to Springfield College where he earned a degree in Sport Psychology.

Baseball has always been a passion for Hall, so when he was approached about taking the position at Flatbush to start the program he quickly jumped at the opportunity.  In addition to coaching baseball, Hall also has a love for teaching and basketball.  He is currently the Dean of Students at I.S. 281 JOSEPH B CAVALLARO in Brooklyn.  He is also the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Canarsie HS (in the PSAL), and coaches middle school levels as well (NYCMSBL and CHAAMPS) within the New York City Board of Education.
